With maturity new dimensions and complexity will come along to intrigue and please both the mind and the mouth! If you enjoy classic Claret then Margaux should always be in your cellar.

Fifty years. A half-century after the legendary 1961 vintage, this year’s wine stood out for its extremely low yields, the result of hail, and, in June, extreme heat. The concentrated result was both beautiful and unexpected, which should herald excellent aging potential.
The opaque blue/purple-colored 2011 Palmer reveals a stunning bouquet of licorice, truffles, camphor, spring flowers, black raspberries and black currants. One of the superstars of the vintage, this brilliant 2011 possesses superb concentration and purity, medium to full body, and remarkable length of close to a minute.

Opulence meets fresh acidity. Unctuous on the palate and heavier than its classic style with 150gm per litre of residual sugar, but the firm acidity balances the sweetness well. A powerful wine that will age for decades.

Distinctive fragrant esteva (rockrose) nose, indicative of the substantial Touriga Nacional contribution to the final blend. In the mouth there is a wonderful, pure fruit quality (red cherries and strawberry) denoting the fresh acidity, which underpins the wine's structure and balance. A wine of great finesse and poise.
Cockburn's 2011 Vintage Port pairs wonderfully with chocolate desserts, such as chocolate mousse, creamy blue cheeses like Stilton or Roquefort.
""Great nose here with flowers, leaves and a wet earth character. Full body, lightly sweet with a massive finish. This is muscular, toned and intense.

Vintage Port DOUBLE MAGNUM 3.0L
Deep purple black colour. The complex seductive nose has the archetypal Croft opulence but displays impressive depth, background and reserves of aroma. A rich, powerful fruitiness provides the backdrop for heady scents of blossom and rock rose. Luscious ripe berry fruit flavour surges though the palate. The wine’s velvety texture is underpinned by taut, muscular, perfectly integrated tannins, which provide stamina with an attractive firmness and vigour to the finish. More virile and structured than some recent Vintages from this classic house, the 2011 nevertheless displays all the rich ripe fruitiness and exotic scented character associated with the Croft house style.

Vintage Port IMPERIAL BOTTLE 6.0L
The near perfect viticultural conditions which prevailed in the Douro Valley in 2011 was bound to allow for great things in Croft's highly regarded Quinta da Roêda. This Quinta always forms the core around which Croft craft their Vintage Port blend, yet in this excellent year all of the blend's components have been sourced from here, producing a scented, exotic and lusciously opulent style. In the words of wine-maker David guimareans, the high perfomance of Quinta da Roêda gave this vintage 'an additional layer of density and depth of flavour' with silky, integrated tannins and powerful grip on the finish.
